what is bluetooth gateway?

A Bluetooth gateway is a data forwarding device. It usually integrates two wireless communication ways, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is usually BLE low-power Bluetooth. It is used as a host, scans and collects Bluetooth device information, and forwards to a server of a specified degree through Wi-Fi.

How does bluetooth gateway works?

When the Bluetooth device enters the range of a certain Bluetooth gateway, it interacts with the Bluetooth part of the Bluetooth gateway (connected and non-connected)

The Wi-Fi part of the Bluetooth gateway uploads data to the server through a wireless router

The data obtained by the server analysis and statistics can also pass the control instructions to the Wi-Fi of the Bluetooth gateway, Wi-Fi is transmitted to Bluetooth, and Bluetooth is transmitted to the Bluetooth device for control

How to classify the bluetooth gateway？

Scanning type: Bluetooth gateway can scan the surrounding Bluetooth devices, Bluetooth beacons , and send the obtained information to the server through Wi-Fi or Ethernet through MQTT or TCP / IP.

Connection type: The Bluetooth gateway can connect the surrounding Bluetooth BLE devices. The BLE device transmits data to the gateway, and the gateway sends the data to the server in the form of TCP / IP.
